Balconies Kings x
Completed early 2000, this renovation to an existing 1930s block in Kings Cross involved substantial remodelling and the replacement of structurally unsound balconies. To ensure a quality job, accurately define the scope of work, and avoid a piecemeal short-term result, the existing balconies were completely chopped out. We inserted a new steel structure, with concrete slabs under timber decking, with opalescent glass and aluminium balustrades. Seemingly effortless, this intensely complex job (the residents remained in-situ during the works), has been successful largely due to the design and the programming of the works being carried out in such a way as to minimise disruption to the residents.
