Pacific Towers
Once an iconic Hotel, the 1920's building is now a block of apartments sitting in a very prominent position overlooking Sydney's Bondi Beach. The proposal involves addition of balconies to the north-east facade to take advantage of the beautiful location, views and sea-breezes. A re-cladding of the Campbell Parade facade will offer a new "enviro-skin" - insulating residents from street noise, protecting from the harsh western sun, and utilizing this heat to encourage thermal stack effect. The intention is to provide a contemporary and lively upgrade with a sensitive response that respects the neighbouring buildings. Renewed vitality and quality street presence will benefit residents and community at this gateway to Bondi Beach.
