The refurbishment of the well known and highly regarded DOV café at the corner of Forbes and Burton Streets in Darlinghurst, is a high profile opportunity for mac-interactive to explore larger, involved ideas within a smaller scale interior space. Together with mac-interactive, the new management will continue to improve the local appeal of the café during the day. Nightfall will see the space uniquely transformed, offering a more intimate dining experience. The re-design will connect the restaurant to the surrounding historical development and active social communities. The design also includes improving the residences above for the clients growing family and a dynamic contemporary infill to the Burton St facade to replace an ageing red brick wall.
Opening at the end of the year, the aptly renamed FAB, will offer a new dining experience for Sydney and demonstrate another direction for mac-interactive.
